Antibiotic
This is the combination of two antibiotic drug ie. ofloxacin 50 mg + ornidazole 125 mg
Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase which is required for the production of DNA replication, transcription, and repair. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria.

Ofloxacin 50 mg and ornidazole 125 mg belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, bacterial infections by inflammation of the peritoneum, eye and ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sexually transmitted infections, respiratory infections, vaginal infections, protozoan infections, intra-abdominal infections, and infections during surgical procedures. It is also indicated in the treatment of diarrhoea of mixed infections in adults.

Warning : Talk to your doctor before taking Ofloxacin 50 mg and ornidazole 125 mg if you have epilepsy, low levels of potassium, nervous or muscle problems, head injury or brain tumour, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, heart, kidney or liver problems
Drug drug interaction : Ofloxacin and ornidazole tablets may interact with pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen), antibiotics (azithromycin, sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim, metronidazole, erythromycin), corticosteroids (dexamethasone), anti-diabetic (metformin), bronchodilator (albuterol), and diuretics (furosemide).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid consuming milk and dairy products.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have colitis (inflammation in the lining of the colon), tendonitis (inflammation in tendons), CNS disorders, myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease), peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain), crystalluria (cloudy urine), diabetes, kidney, liver and heart problems.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection harder to treat.
