Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls, while Ofloxacin blocks bacterial DNA replication, together leading to the death of bacteria. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, and skin rash. This medicine should be avoided by individuals with kidney problems, epilepsy, bone related issues, or known allergies to antibiotics, unless prescribed by a doctor. Special precautions include avoiding dairy products, antacids, grapefruit or its juice, and alcohol during treatment. Patients should also limit sun exposure due to the risk of skin sensitivity. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly advised by a healthcare provider. The usual adult dose is one tablet (Cefixime 200 mg + Ofloxacin 200 mg) twice daily or as directed by the physician.

Avoid taking Taxim Of Tablet with the following medicines, as it may increase or decrease the desired effect, or in worse cases, it could be fatal:
Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Taxim Of Tablet, as it can reduce the medicine’s effectiveness. Calcium-rich foods like milk, cheese, curd and paneer reduce the absorption of ofloxacin in the stomach, so take the antibiotic at least 2 hours before or after such foods. Also, avoid alcohol, as it may increase side effects like dizziness and stomach upset. Smoking can weaken your immune response and delay recovery, so it’s best to avoid it during treatment.
