Cifran C Th Tablet are oral medicines belonging to the class of antibiotics. This medicine is used to treat the following indications:
Cifran C Th Tablet is a combination of two antimicrobial agents: Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole. Ciprofloxacin works by blocking the division and repair of bacterial cells, ultimately leading to their death. Tinidazole kills parasites and bacteria that survive without oxygen. Tinidazole works by damaging their DNA, helping to clear the infection.

If you have previously had an allergy to this medicine, inform your doctor.
📌 Pregnancy
This combination is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester and near term, as it may harm the developing baby. Always consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive.
📌 Alcohol Abuse
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after the last dose of tinidazole. Alcohol can interact with tinidazole and lead to severe reactions such as nausea, vomiting, flushing, cramps, and headaches.
📌 Liver Disease
Inform your doctor if you have any history of liver problems, as both ciprofloxacin and tinidazole are metabolized in the liver. Impaired liver function may increase the risk of side effects and drug toxicity.

📌 Neurological Conditions
If you have a history of seizure disorders or a history of neurological conditions, ciprofloxacin and tinidazole can lower the seizure threshold. Always consult your doctor in such case.

It is advisable to avoid dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt around the time of taking the medication, as calcium can interfere with the absorption of ciprofloxacin. The combination can be taken with food to minimize stomach upset, especially due to tinidazole, Alcohol should be strictly avoided during treatment, caffeine intake should be limited, as ciprofloxacin may enhance its effects, causing restlessness or a rapid heartbeat.
