Mesalamine is works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical substances, such as prostaglandins, that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it reduces swelling in the intestines and provides relief from symptoms such as stomach pain or bleeding.

Ulcerative colitis

Mesalazine 1200 mg is an anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat ulcerative colitis.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Mesalamine 1200 mg may have interaction with a laxative: lactulose,, painkillers: aspirin, ibuprofen,,immunosuppressants: azathioprine,,chemotherapy drugs: thioguanine, mercaptopurine.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor before taking Mesalamine 1200 mg ,If you have a stomach ulcer, a blockage in the stomach, asthma, or any medical condition that can cause bleeding, liver, kidney, or blood problems.

Avoid spicy,fried and oily food.Avoid sitting continously for long time, it leads to indigestion or increase acid secretion.

Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or if you are a breastfeed mother.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.
