Antibiotic

This is the combination of two antibiotic drug ie. cefotaxime 1000 mg + sulbactum 500 mg.

cefotaxime 1000 mg + sulbactam 500 mg is used to treat bacterial infections. It contains Cefotaxime and Sulbactam. Cefotaxime reduces the infection by inhibiting bacterial growth. It disrupts the formation of the cell wall (outer layer), which is essential for bacteria's survival. Sulbactam inhibits the action of beta-lactamase, an enzyme produced by the bacteria to destroy antibiotics (cefotaxime).

Cefotaxime 1000 mg + sulbactam 500 mg belongs to the class of medications called ‘antibiotics’ used to treat bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused by the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body

Warning : If you are taking aminoglycoside antibiotics such as streptomycin and gentamicin, your kidney function should be regularly monitored.Inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or other antibiotics.

Drug drug interaction : it may interact with penicillin antibiotics (mezlocillin and azlocillin), aminoglycoside antibiotics (streptomycin, neomycin, and gentamicin), diuretic or water pill (furosemide), and medicine used to treat gout (probenecid).

Drug Disease interaction : It should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems and diabetes.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose. Discard any unused medication in a safe manner and do not share it with others.

Do regular exercise such as cyclingbody walkingbody joggingbody dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Invest at least 150 minutes of your week in exercise.Avoid consumption of alcohol and quit smoking.

Keep the medication in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture.
