Skizoril is an oral medicine belonging to the category of antipsychotics and is used for the following indications:
This medicine works by fixing the chemical imbalance in the brain that causes symptoms like hearing voices, strange beliefs, and confused thinking in schizophrenia. Think of the brain like a radio; when signals are too loud or scrambled, the message gets distorted. Skizoril turns down the volume of dopamine and serotonin signals by blocking their receptors, helping the brain think more clearly. It also adjusts other brain chemicals to support calm thinking with fewer movement-related side effects.
📌 Pregnancy
The safety of Skizoril in pregnancy is not established. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive. Skizoril may be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed, and its risks must be weighed carefully against potential benefits.
📌 Kidney and Liver Problems
Skizoril is not known to be safe for use in liver and kidney disease patients. Patients with kidney or liver problems should inform their doctor and be closely monitored when using this medicine.

📌 Missed Dose

It is not recommended to take more than 1000 mg of Skizoril per day, as it may cause severe overdosing effects like heart inflammation, extreme drowsiness, confusion, unconsciousness, sweating, double vision, low blood pressure, and slurred speech.
