This drug is used in constipation ie. Prucalopride 2 mg

Prucalopride is a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that has high intrinsic activity. It indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that increases the motility of the intestine and treats even chronic (long-term) constipation very effectively.

Prucalopride is used in the treatment of Constipation . It helps in relieving constipation that is long lasting or coming back.

Warning :It is very important that your doctor check your progress at regular visits to make sure this medicine is working properly and to check for unwanted effects.,,This medicine may cause some people to be agitated, irritable, or display other abnormal behaviors.Make sure the doctor knows if you have trouble sleeping, get upset easily, have a big increase in energy, or start to act reckless. Also tell the doctor if you have sudden or strong feelings, such as feeling nervous, angry, restless, violent, or scared.

Drug drug interaction : Prucalopride may interact with an antihistamine ie diphenhydramine.

Drug food interaction: No specific interaction found .

Drug disease interaction : Prucalopride may interact with kidney dialysis,inflamation of the intestinal tract,ulcerative colitis,mood disorders.

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Consult your doctor before taking prucalopride ,if you are pregnant. Prucalopride might pass into breastmilk , so avoid breastfeeding while taking prucalopride .

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

Swallow the tablets/capsule whole, do not crush or chew.,,Follow your doctor's instructions for adjusting your dose.
