Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Proton pumps are enzymes found in the stomach lining that aid in the production of acid needed for digestion. Pantoprazole impairs the function of proton pumps. This decreases the quantity of acid produced by the stomach.

Warning: Consult your doctor right away if you develop decreased urination,edema,lower back pain,nausea,fatigue,and rash or fever. These could be signs of a kidney problem.

Drug drug interaction : pantoprazole may interact with some medicines ie blood thinners: clopidogrel,warfarin, antifungal : ketoconazole,voriconazole,itraconazole,,iron supplements, antibiotics : ampicilin,rifampicin ,,digoxin,,and anticancer drug : methotrexate.
Drug disease interaction : pantoprazole may contraindicated in condition like low vitamin b12, low magnesium,bone fractures,liver disease.
Drug food interaction : Avoid fatty, spicy food during or caffeinated drinks such as tea ,coffee and cola during intake of pantoprazole it may cause increase stomach acid reflux.
contraindications
Avoid sitting continuosly because it can increase stomach acid production.avoid alcohol and smocking,alcohol can increase the secreatio of stomach acid and leading to heart burn and acidity.
