Moxisurge Eye Drop eye drops are an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in the eyes. It is useful for the following indications:
Moxisurge Eye Drop belongs to a group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. When bacteria infect the eye, they multiply rapidly, causing redness, pain, swelling, and discharge. Moxisurge Eye Drop works by blocking an essential enzyme inside bacteria called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are needed for bacteria to copy their DNA and reproduce. Without the ability to make new DNA, the bacteria cannot grow or multiply, and eventually they die. By killing the bacteria, Moxisurge Eye Drop helps the eye infection heal faster and prevents it from spreading to other parts of the eye.
📌 Allergy/hypersensitivity
It can cause serious allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, rash, or difficulty breathing.
📌 Viral or fungal eye infections
Moxisurge Eye Drop only works against bacteria and will not treat infections caused by viruses (like herpes) or fungi (like yeast).
📌 Children
Safety and effectiveness may not be established for very young children unless prescribed.
📌 Contact lenses
Some formulations may not be suitable for lenses and could cause irritation or reduce effectiveness.
📌 Eye conditions or injuries
The drops may not be enough to treat deep infections or severe eye injuries; proper medical evaluation is needed.
Eye drops don’t have any food interactions. You can eat your normal meals while using them. Just make sure to follow your doctor’s instructions and wash your hands before and after using the drops to avoid infection.
Avoid taking Moxisurge Eye Drop with the following medicines, as it may increase or decrease the desired effect, or in worse cases, it could be fatal:
IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry)/ Chemical name
7-[(4aS,7aS)-1,2,3,4,4a,5,7,7a-octahydropyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridin-6-yl]-1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-8-methoxy-4-oxoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid

📌 Daily dose
Take Moxisurge Eye Drop exactly as your doctor recommends. The dose may change based on your condition and how well you respond. Do not take more than prescribed without consulting your doctor.
📌 Missed Dose
If you forget to take your medicine, take the medication as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Always consult the doctor before making any changes to your dosage.
📌 Overdose
Do not use more Moxisurge Eye Drop drops than prescribed by your doctor. Using too many drops can increase the risk of eye irritation, stinging, redness, or blurred vision. If you experience severe reactions such as swelling around the eyes, eye pain, vision changes, or difficulty breathing, stop using the drops immediately and seek medical attention.
Moxisurge Eye Drop eye drops are a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, and post-surgical infections. They work by stopping bacteria from copying their DNA, which prevents them from growing and eventually kills them, helping the infection heal and reducing redness, pain, and discharge. Common side effects include mild burning, stinging, temporary blurred vision, redness, or watery eyes, while rare side effects may include swelling of the eyelids, severe irritation, allergic reactions, or worsening of infection if not used properly. These drops should not be used by people allergic to Moxisurge Eye Drop, those with viral or fungal eye infections, very young children unless prescribed, or contact lens users without doctor guidance. Since the drops are applied to the eye, there are no known food interactions. They should be used exactly as prescribed, usually several times a day, until the full course is completed.
➡️ Moxisurge Eye Drop eye drops are used to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis (red, itchy, watery eyes), corneal ulcers, post-surgical eye infections, and other bacterial infections of the eye as prescribed by a doctor.
➡️ Moxisurge Eye Drop belongs to the fluoroquinolone antibiotics class, which work by killing bacteria and treating bacterial infections in the eye.

➡️ Common side effects include mild burning, stinging, temporary blurred vision, redness, or watery eyes. Rarely, it may cause swelling of the eyelids, severe irritation, allergic reactions, or worsening of the infection.
