This drug contain ie. Mannitol 20 %.

Mannitol 20% is works by removing excess water and also relieves inflammation in the affected areas.,,Mannitol 20 % is an inert substance with high osmotic pressure.,,It draws water into the kidney, which in turn increases the amount of urine production. Mannitol 20% Infusion is also used to lower the pressure inside the eye or swelling around the brain.

Acute renal failure,,Cerebral edema (accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain),,Glaucoma

Mannitol 20% is used in the treatment of kidney failure,,cerebral edema and to reduce the pressure inside the eyes in a condition called glaucoma.

Nausea,,Vomiting,,Headache,,Dehydration,,Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)

Warning : Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor sodium and potassium level, kidney function, and lung function while you are taking Mannitol 20 % innjection.,,Do not administer unless solution is clear and container is undamaged.

Drug drug interaction : Mannitol is may interact with tobramycin,,dichlorphenamide,,lurasidone,,nitroglycerin rectal,,tobramycin inhaled,,magnesium chloride,,magnesium citrate,,magnesium hydroxide,,magnesium oxide,,magnesium sulfate.

Drug disease ineraction: Mannitol is may contraindicated with patients of congestive heart failure,,kidney disfunction.

Regular monitoring by blood tests may be required while using mannitol injection.

Consult your doctor before taking mannitol injecion, if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.
