This is an antibiotic drug ie. MOXIFLOXACIN 0.5%.

Wait at least 15 minutes after using the drops before putting your contact lenses back in.,,Do not use this medication if the solution is cloudy or discolored or if there are any particles in it.,,If you experience any side effects while using this medication, such as redness, itching, or swelling of the eye, or if your symptoms do not improve within a few days, please contact your doctor.

Drug drug interaction : Antacids: Moxifloxacin should not be taken within 2 hours of taking antacids containing aluminum or magnesium as they can decrease the absorption of the antibiotic.,,Theophylline: Concurrent use of moxifloxacin and theophylline (a medication used to treat asthma) can increase the risk of theophylline toxicity.,,Warfarin: Moxifloxacin may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with warfarin (a blood thinner).,,Oral contraceptives: Moxifloxacin may decrease the effectiveness of oral contraceptives, making them less effective in preventing pregnancy.,,Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Taking moxifloxacin with NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen) can increase the risk of bleeding or other side effects.

Drug food interaction : Drug-food interactions with moxifloxacin may occur if the medication is taken with certain foods or beverages.,,Dairy products: Taking moxifloxacin with dairy products, such as milk, yogurt, or cheese, may decrease the absorption of the medication. To avoid this interaction, it is recommended to take moxifloxacin at least 2 hours before or after consuming dairy products.,,Antacids: Taking moxifloxacin with antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium may decrease the absorption of the medication. To avoid this interaction, it is recommended to take moxifloxacin at least 2 hours before or after taking antacids.,,Iron supplements: Taking moxifloxacin with iron supplements may decrease the absorption of the medication. To avoid this interaction, it is recommended to take moxifloxacin at least 2 hours before or after taking iron supplements.,,Caffeine: Taking moxifloxacin with caffeine-containing products, such as coffee or tea, may increase the risk of side effects, such as jitteriness or anxiety.

Drug disease interaction : Moxifloxacin may cause QT prolongation, a condition that can lead to an abnormal heart rhythm called torsade de pointes. This is more likely to occur in people with certain pre-existing heart conditions, such as long QT syndrome or heart failure. Therefore, people with these conditions should use moxifloxacin with caution.,,Moxifloxacin can cause a serious condition called tendinitis or tendon rupture, especially in people over 60 years of age, those who have had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant, or people who have had previous tendon problems. Therefore, people with these conditions should use moxifloxacin with caution.,,Moxifloxacin may also interact with other medications, such as blood thinners, anti-depressants, anti-seizure medications, and anti-inflammatory drugs. Therefore, it is important to inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking before starting moxifloxacin.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection harder to treat.

Keep the medication in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture.

Wash your hands before using the medication.,,Tilt your head back and pull down on your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.,,Hold the dropper above your eye and gently squeeze out one drop.,,Close your eye for a few seconds and gently press your finger to the inside corner of your eye for about one minute.,,Repeat the steps for the other eye if directed by your healthcare provider.,,Discard any unused solution after four weeks or as directed by your healthcare provider.
