Pioglitazone 15 mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin, a natural substance that helps control blood sugar levels.

Fill your half plate with starchy veggies, a quarter with proteins, and a quarter with whole grain.Monitor your blood sugar level regularly especially when there are a lot of fluctuations.Replace refined carbohydrates containing foods with whole grain foods and increase intake of fruits and veggies and other fibre enriched foods.

Drug-Drug interaction- Pioglitazone 15 mg tablet may interact with antidiabetics (gemfibrozil), and antibiotics (rifampicin). So, tell your doctor if you are using these drugs before taking Pioglitazone 15 mg. Drug-food interaction-Taking Pioglitazone 15 mg Tablet with alcoholic beverages may increase the risk of a rare but serious and potentially life-threatening condition known as lactic acidosis (build-up of lactic acid in the blood) and hypoglycaemia. Drug-Disease Interactions: Pioglitazone 15 mg tablet 10's should be avoided in patients with congestive heart failure (heart-related issues), type I diabetes, bladder cancer, oedema, liver disease, macular oedema, premenopausal anovulation, obesity (weight gain), anaemia as it may worsen the condition.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Pioglitazone 15 Tablet. Pioglitazone 15 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.Pioglitazone 15 Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. Pioglitazone 15 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.Pioglitazone 15 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Pioz 15 Tablet is recommended.

You can Monitor your blood sugar level with a glucometer regularly while you are taking this medicine. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing or if you have persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as Glimepiride + Metformin may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.

Do regular exercise such as cyclingbody walkingbody joggingbody dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Invest at least 150 minutes of your week in exercise.Maintain healthy body weight as obesity is also related to the onset of diabetes.Maintain a low fat and a low sugar diet.
