This drug is the combination of two salt ie. Carbonyl iron 50 mg + folic acid 0.5 mg.

Carbonyl iron is works by helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells.,,Folic acid is necessary for various bodily functions, such as nucleotide biosynthesis and remethylation of homocysteine.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Carbonyl iron 50 mg + folic acid 0.5 mg may interact with antibiotic: chloramphenicol,,inorganic compound: arsenic trioxide,, antacid: esomeprazole,,hormone: levothyroxine.

Drug-Disease Interactions: During intake of Carbonyl iron 50 mg + folic acid 0.5 mg inform your doctor if you have malabsorption,,low potassium levels,,kidney or liver dysfunction.

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for baby and if you have a breast feeding baby , but should be taken only after consulting a doctor.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

Shake the bottle well before use.,,Measure the appropriate dosage using a measuring spoon or syringe.,,Take the medication orally, with or without food.
