workings
This is a combination of two antidiabetic drug contains Metformin and Glibenclamide. Metformin works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. Glibenclamide works by stimulating beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Thus, insulin helps to remove sugar from the blood.

warnings
Do regular exercise such as cycling, walking, jogging, dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Invest at least 150 minutes of your week in exercise.Maintain a low fat and a low sugar diet. Replace carbohydrates containing foods with whole grains, fruits and vegetables as carbohydrates turn to sugars leading to high blood sugar. Avoid consumption of alcohol and quit smoking.

Drug-Drug interaction: GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN may cause ‘lactic acidosis’ (buildup of lactic acid in the blood), characterized by abdominal pain, muscle cramps, vomiting, severe fatigue, and difficulty breathing. It is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical attention. Inform your doctor if you have any severe liver or kidney problems, as their normal functioning is required to eliminate excess lactic acid from the body. Do not consume excess alcohol, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis. Drug-Disease interaction: GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN should be used with caution in patients with liver, kidney, hormonal, infectious, and heart problems.

Consumption of alcohol with glibenclamide and metformin may cause major side effects.GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN should be used with caution only if prescribed by a doctor in pregnant women as it may cause toxic effects to the fetus. Breastfeeding mothers should not take GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN unless prescribed by your doctor. GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN may cause vision problems. So, it is not recommended to drive if your vision is blurred while using GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN. GLIBENCLAMIDE+METFORMIN should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases. Dose adjustments may be necessary.

You can Monitor your blood sugar level with a glucometer regularly while you are taking this medicine. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing or if you have persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as Glimepiride + Metformin may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.
