Plus, it helps protect the soft tissue in your joints (called cartilage) by helping make something called glycosaminoglycan, which keeps your joint healthy. A part of this medicine, called 4’- hydroxyaceclofenac, also helps protect the cartilage by lowering harmful enzymes and keeping special cells called chondrocytes safe. Paracetamol is a medicine that helps with pain and fever. It works by blocking a protein called COX, which is one of the reasons you feel pain or get a fever when you’re sick.
