Racecadotril 100 mg has an anti-secretory effect. It reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This helps to reduce the amount of fluid loss from the body in diarrhoea.

Racecadotril 100 mg is used for the treatment of acute diarrhoea.It contains racecadotril as an active ingredient. racecadotril 100 mg is works by reducing the secretions of the gastrointestinal tract and thereby stops diarrhoea.

Warning : It is very important that if you have some liver or renal complication ,please inform your doctor before taking racecadotril. After taking racecadotril if you notice some symptoms of allergic reaction then inform your doctor.

Drug drug interaction : Racecadotril may interact with ACE inhibitors which is used to treat hypertension : captopril, lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril, perindopril.

Drug food interaction : no specific food interaction found.

Drug disease interation: Racecadotril may cause major side effects if you have liver disease or renal dysfunction.

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Consult your doctor before taking Racecadotril,if you are pregnant or a breastfeed mother of avoiding side effects on newborn baby.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

Swallow the tablets/capsule whole, do not crush or chew.,,Follow your doctor's instructions for adjusting your dose.
