Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body.

Warning: Do not use this medicine if you are previously allergic to it.
interactions
Drug drug interaction : cefpodoxime 200 mg may interact with diuretics (furosemide), blood thinner (warfarin), supplements (calcium/vitamin D), antacids (sodium bicarbonate, aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, cimetidine, ranitidine, loratadine), and drugs used to treat excess uric acid (probenecid).
Drug food interaction: Certain medicines should not be used at or around the time of eating food or eating certain types of food since interactions may occur. Using alcohol or tobacco with certain medicines may also cause interactions to occur. Discuss with your healthcare professional the use of your medicine with food, alcohol, or tobacco.
Drug disease interaction: Inform your doctor if you have C. difficile-associated disease (CDAD), colitis (inflammation in the lining of the colon), seizures (epilepsy), kidney or liver disease.
