Clobium is an oral medicine belonging to the category of benzodiazepines and is used for the following indications:
Clobium boosts the calming effects of gamma‑aminobutyric acid (GABA) to quiet overactive brain signals and reduce seizures, like turning down a noisy brain’s volume. For patients, it’s a quiet helper that brings steadiness when the brain feels stormy.
📌 Pregnancy
There are no well-researched human studies on the effect of Clobium, but there are animal studies clearly indicating that it affects the fetus’s development directly. So, take a recommendation from the doctor before using it.
📌 Breastfeeding
Clobium can pass into breast milk and may rarely lower your baby’s blood pressure or cause tiredness. Safer options like enalapril are preferred; talk to your doctor before continuing.
Avoid consuming alcohol and smoking simultaneously, as it may affect the drug’s action and show an effect on the brain, leading to severe drowsiness, sedation, and coma in severe cases.

📌 Missed Dose
If you forget to take your medicine, take the medication as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Always consult the doctor before making any changes to your dosage.
📌 Overdose
It is not recommended to take more than 40 mg of Clobium per day, as it may cause severe overdosing effects like kidney and liver damage, dizziness, and severe low blood pressure. If you face any of the severe effects, meet the doctor.

➡️ For pediatric patients, Clobium is usually started at 0.3–1 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into two doses, and can be gradually increased to a typical range of 0.5–2 mg per kg per day, with adjustments made by the doctor based on response and tolerance.
