Bunase is a Corticosteroid (Inhaled corticosteroid / anti-inflammatory medicine) used to relieve breathing difficulty caused by airway narrowing in the following conditions:
Bunase works by calming and healing the airways inside your lungs. When you breathe in this medicine, it goes straight to your airways and reduces the swelling, redness, and mucus that make breathing difficult. It helps keep your airways open so air can move in and out easily. By using it regularly, it prevents asthma attacks, coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath, helping you breathe more comfortably every day.
📌 Allergy Warning
If you are allergic to Bunase, it can cause serious allergic reactions like rash, swelling, or trouble breathing. Your doctor can decide if there’s a safer alternative for you.
📌 Active lung infections
If you have tuberculosis, fungal, or viral infections in your lungs, Bunase can make the infection worse. Always communicate with your doctor before prescribing.
📌 Fungal or viral infection
If you have any untreated fungal or bacterial infection in your body, using this inhaler can allow the infection to spread. Consult your doctor to manage the infection safely before using it.
📌 Children below 12 years
Children below 12 years of age should use this medicine only if prescribed by a doctor, because their bodies are more sensitive, and the wrong dose or medicine can cause serious side effects or may not be safe for their age.
📌 Eye problems
If you have glaucoma, cataracts, or eye infections, Bunase can increase eye pressure or worsen infections. Your doctor should check your eyes and confirm it’s safe to use.
Bunase inhaler does not have any major food interactions, so you can use it with or without food. It is best to avoid eating right before or after using the inhaler as it makes your throat feel irritated and always rinse your mouth with water after use. Alcohol does not directly affect the medicine but drinking too much can weaken your immunity.
Avoid taking Bunase with the following medicines, as it may increase or decrease the desired effect, or in worse cases, it could be fatal:
IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) / Chemical name
Bunase: 11β,21-Dihydroxy-16α,17α-[butane-1,1-diylbis(oxy)] pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione

📌 Daily dose
Take Bunase exactly as your doctor recommends. The dose may change based on your condition and how well you respond. Do not take more than prescribed without consulting your doctor.
📌 Missed Dose
If you forget to take your medicine, take the medication as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Always consult the doctor before making any changes to your dosage.
📌 Overdose
Bunase should not be taken more than 720 mcg twice a day as prescribed by your doctor. Taking more can cause throat irritation, hoarseness, mouth infections, headache, or dizziness. If you use more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor immediately.
Bunase is an inhaled corticosteroid that helps prevent and treat breathing problems like asthma, COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, coughing, wheezing, and airway inflammation. It works by reducing swelling and irritation in the airways, making it easier to breathe. The usual adult dose is 360 to 720 mcg twice a day, and it should not exceed. To use, shake the inhaler, breathe out, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, inhale deeply while pressing the inhaler, hold your breath for a few seconds, then breathe out. Always rinse your mouth after use. Common side effects include throat irritation, cough, hoarseness, and dry mouth, while rare effects may include mouth infections, headache, nausea, or dizziness. Bunase should be avoided if you are allergic, have untreated infections, or certain eye problems, and can be used during pregnancy only under doctor supervision. There are no major food restrictions, and it can be taken with or without food. Using it regularly as prescribed ensures the best control of breathing problems, while overuse does not provide faster relief and may cause side effects.
