Brimonidine 0.2% + Timolol 0.5% is a prescription eye drop medication used to treat glaucoma, a condition in which increased pressure in the eye can damage the optic nerve and cause vision loss.

Brimonidine 0.2% is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humor, the fluid that fills the front part of the eye. This decreases the pressure in the eye, which helps to prevent damage to the optic nerve.

Timolol 0.5% is a beta blocker that also reduces the production of aqueous humor. It does this by blocking the action of certain chemicals in the body that stimulate the production of fluid in the eye.

The combination of brimonidine and timolol in one eye drop medication allows for a more effective reduction of intraocular pressure than either medication alone.

Brimonidine 0.2% + Timolol 0.5% is typically administered as one drop in the affected eye(s) twice a day, or as directed by a healthcare provider. The medication is supplied in a 5 ml bottle, and should be stored at room temperature and away from light. It is important to follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider and to contact them if you experience any side effects or have concerns about your treatment.
