Drug-Food Interaction: During intake of alfacalcidol please avoid the intake of caffeine,,soft drinks & alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Alfacalcidol is may contraindicated in hypercalcaemia,,hypervitaminosis D,,malabsorption syndrome,,Vitamin D toxicity,,heart/kidney/liver/blood vessel diseases,,kidney stones,,sarcoidosis,,diabetes.

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for baby and if you have a breast feeding baby , but should be taken only after consulting a doctor.
