Albucid is a topical antibiotic (eye). It is used for following conditions like:
Albucid inhibits bacterial growth by interfering with the production of folic acid, which is essential for bacterial DNA and protein synthesis. This action prevents bacteria from multiplying, helping the body fight the infection.
📌 Allergy/Hypersensitivity
If you are allergic to this medicine, avoid using this medicine as it can cause serious allergic reactions such as swelling of eyelids, rash, itching, or breathing difficulties. Always use this medicine only under your doctor’s advice.
📌 Liver or kidney disease
Patients with significant liver or kidney disease should avoid this medicine because it may increase the risk of side effects. Use only if your doctor advises and monitors you carefully.
📌 Children under recommended age
