This is an antiallergic drug ie. Montalukast 10 mg.

Montalukast is works by blocking a chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation and swelling of airways in the lungs. This makes breathing easier and prevents asthma attacks.

Montalukast 10 mg is an anti-allergic drug is used to treat seasonal allergies and Asthma.

Diarrhoea,,Dizziness,,Headache,,Abdominal cramp,,Flu-like symptoms,,Nausea,,Vomiting

Warning : During intake of montalukast, It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens such as pollen, dust, etc. Certain food items are known to cause allergies.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Montalukast may interact with pain killers: ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac,,blood thinners: aspirin,,antiallergic: cetirizine,,antiasthmatic: salmeterol, albuterol, formoterol,,anti-hypertension: metoprolol,,anti-epilepsy drug : Phenobarbital, phenytoin.

Drug-Food Interactions: Montalukast may interact with a multi-mineral or other herbal/ayurvedic supplements.So, if you are using any of the otc items, please tell your doctor.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Montalukast may contraindicated with liver/kidney disease, epilepsy.

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for baby and if you have a breast feeding baby , but should be taken only after consulting a doctor.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

Swallow the tablets/capsule whole, do not crush or chew.,,Follow your doctor's instructions for adjusting your dose.
