About Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride 0.1%

Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride 0.1% is a clinically proven topical solution designed to combat male pattern baldness. Minoxidil stimulates hair follicles by prolonging the growth phase (anagen) while shortening the resting phase (telogen), promoting thicker and healthier hair. Finasteride works by reducing androgen effects, preventing further hair loss. Together, they provide a powerful treatment to slow hair thinning and encourage regrowth.

This easy-to-use solution is applied directly to the scalp and works best when combined with a healthy lifestyle. A nutrient-rich diet, regular exercise, and reduced stress can enhance its effectiveness. While generally safe, it should not be ingested, and allergic reactions should be reported to a doctor. Store it in a cool, dry place, and avoid alcohol consumption before and after application for optimal results.

Dietary and Lifestyle Management

Some medicines can help with hair loss, but their effectiveness can improve with certain lifestyle changes. Here are some simple things you can do with your diet and exercise to keep your hair strong:

1- Essential fatty acids

Adding omega-3 to your diet can improve not only your hair but also your nails and skin. Foods rich in omega-3 include:

  1. Salmon, hilsa, rohu, and sardines and other fatty fish
  2. Flaxseeds and their oil, chia seeds and canola oil, mustard oil, and olive oil
  3. Walnuts
  4. Vegetables like spinach, soybeans, and cauliflower

2- Protein

Indians are often deficient in nearly 80% of their daily protein requirements, leading to significant protein shortages in their bodies. High-protein foods include:

  1. Lentils (dal)
  2. Chickpeas (chana)
  3. Paneer
  4. Eggs
  5. Curd
  6. Cheese
  7. Chicken breast
  8. Peanuts

A 2021 Pew Research Center survey reported that 39% of India’s population is vegetarian. For vegetarians and vegans, it’s essential to also ensure intake of vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid, as they are often lacking in plant-based diets.

3- Improved blood circulation

Exercise enhances the blood circulation around the scalp, ensuring appropriate uptake of oxygen and nutrients by the hair follicle.

4- Reduced stress

Physical activity lowers the level of stress hormones and promotes the level of happy hormones in our body. Since stress is the main cause of hair fall, reducing it will enhance the growth of thicker hair.

5- Hormonal balance

Daily exercise balances the amount of androgen. A high level of androgen in the body causes hair fall.

6- Detoxification

Sweat during exercise removes toxins from our body. The presence of toxins in the body can be a cause for hair fall.

7- Avoid Smoking or Alcohol Consumption

While it is well known that smoking and alcohol consumption can damage our lungs and other vital organs, they also increase the amount of free radicals in our body, leading to hair fall. alcohol consumption can damage our lungs and other vital organs, they also increase the amount of free radicles in our body, leading to hair fall.
