Levetiracetam 750 mg tablet is used to treat seizures like partial, generalized, clonic and myoclonic seizures.
Levetiracetam 750 mg helps control seizures by working on a special protein in the brain called SV2A. This protein plays a key role in how nerve cells send messages to each other. During a seizure, the brain’s electrical activity goes out of control, firing all at once. Levetiracetam 750 mg helps calm that firing outburst of signals. By attaching to the SV2A protein, Levetiracetam 750 mg changes the way certain brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) are released. This reduces the chances of nerves becoming overexcited. As a result, it becomes harder for a seizure to start or spread. Importantly, Levetiracetam 750 mg does all of this without affecting normal brain function. It helps keep brain signals stable and balanced, so a person is less likely to have seizures.
Pregnant women are not recommended to take Levetiracetam 750 mg, as there are no human studies supporting its safety during pregnancy. In case of an emergency, consult a doctor before using it.
Levetiracetam 750 mg passes into breast milk. Tell your healthcare provider if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Your healthcare provider will advise you if you should stop breastfeeding or stop Levetiracetam 750 mg.
Patients having history of mental health problems may experience worsening symptoms, so it is important to consult a doctor before using this medicine.
Patients suffering from kidney and liver problems are more prone to kidney and liver damage after consuming Levetiracetam 750 mg, so consult a doctor before using them.
Avoid alcohol and smoking, with this Levetiracetam 750 mg as they can alter drugs effect and may cause severe drowsiness and sedation because of their direct action on the brain.

(S)-2-(2-oxo-1-pyrrolidinyl)butanamide

Take Levetiracetam 750 mg exactly as your doctor recommends. The dose may change based on your condition and how well you respond. Do not take more than prescribed without consulting your doctor.

Don’t take more than 3000 mg of Levetiracetam 750 mg per day, as it may cause severe adverse effects like extreme drowsiness, confusion, low blood pressure, unconsciousness, high fever, vision problems, and hallucinations. Patients consuming alcohol or any antidepressant medications should not take Levetiracetam 750 mg, as it causes severe overdose leading to potential adverse effects.
